What Makes It Special?

This museum is located in the historic Tacubaya Observatory, founded in 1910 as part of the National Seismological Network. It displays original scientific instruments and offers a fascinating insight into the Earth and its movements.

Did You Know…?

Some of Mexico's earliest seismological and geophysical studies were conducted here. The museum displays antique seismographs, maps, solar measurement devices, and models of plate tectonics, as well as interactive activities for visitors of all ages.
