Casa de la Bola House Museum

A stately home that has preserved centuries of art, luxury, and collecting

AREA

What Makes It Special?

This elegant museum is a hidden gem in Mexico City. Originally a 16th-century country house, it was restored and lived in by the collector Don Antonio Haghenbeck y de la Lama, who transformed it into an exquisite space dedicated to art, antiques, and European furniture from the 17th to the 19th centuries.

Did You Know…?

The Haghenbeck Foundation, which manages the museum, preserves not only the original residence but also the objects, paintings, tapestries, clocks, and porcelain that reflect the lifestyle of the Mexican aristocracy of yesteryear. The garden surrounding the house is also a living piece of history.
