Museo Frida Kahlo

Frida's innermost heart, nestled between blue walls and gardens of memories

AREA

What Makes It Special?

This is where Frida Kahlo was born, lived, and died. The Blue House in Coyoacán preserves her spirit, her personal belongings, her art, and her history. Walking through its rooms is like stepping into her intimate, honest, and deeply Mexican world.

Did You Know…?

The house was turned into a museum in 1958, four years after her death. On display here are her mirrored bed, her painted corset, her paintbrushes, letters, traditional clothing, and original works. You’ll also find pieces by Diego Rivera and pre-Hispanic artifacts.

Don’t Miss

Buy your tickets online in advance: they sell out quickly. The tour is self-guided and has limited capacity. Don't forget to explore the garden, one of the museum's most peaceful and picturesque spots.
