Housed in a beautiful 18th-century mansion that once served as a school and military barracks, this museum houses historical maps, surveying instruments, and documents that trace the development of the country over the centuries.

Did You Know…?

The building that houses the museum was part of the Military Academy during the 19th century. Today, its collection offers insight into how cartography was essential for military campaigns, road construction, and the demarcation of borders.

The Tacubaya Metro station is the best option, although it’s recommended to take the exit toward Observatorio and be prepared for an uphill walk.
