What Makes It Special?
This museum houses and displays archaeological artifacts found in the Xochimilco area, a region that has been inhabited since ancient times and whose history is deeply intertwined with water, chinampas, and corn.

Did You Know…?
The museum is located in Santa Cruz Acalpixca, which in Nahuatl means “where the canoes are kept.” The collection includes figurines, pottery, farming tools, and pre-Hispanic human remains found in and around the canals.

Don’t Miss
It features a historical collection of mammoths and a wide variety of workshops for children, allowing them to use art techniques to express what they see and learn at the museum.
