What Makes It Special?

The Kaluz Museum is dedicated to Mexican art from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. It is housed in a beautiful, restored colonial-era building across from the Alameda Central, and features a valuable private collection that is now on public display.

Did You Know…?

The building was first a hospice, then a hotel (the legendary Hotel Imperial), and is now a museum. The collection includes works by Dr. Atl, José María Velasco, Diego Rivera, María Izquierdo, and many others, with a focus on landscapes, identity, and the Mexican territory.

In addition to the museum, there is a restaurant with a terrace offering one of the best views of the Alameda. It’s the perfect way to end your visit with a cup of coffee, a book… or a glass of wine surrounded by masterpieces.

How to Get There

The most direct way to get there is via the Hidalgo Metro station. It’s located across from the Alameda Central, making it the perfect place to visit before or after a stroll through the area.
