What Makes It Special?

Located on the outskirts of Mexico City, this archaeological site preserves the remains of an ancient Mexica ceremonial platform. Although modest in size, it represents an important link between the pre-Hispanic settlements of Texcoco, Iztapalapa, and Chalco.

The findings at Los Reyes La Paz reveal evidence of canals, dwellings, and structures associated with water management, confirming their importance within the Mexica Altépetl’s hydraulic network. The site has been partially restored and opened to the public for educational purposes.

How to Get There

Los Reyes (Line A) – ~15-minute walk

Santa Marta – 26-minute walk

Los Reyes – Cuauhtémoc Ave. – 10-minute walk

Los Reyes – 12-minute walk

Take the Mexico-Texcoco highway (Route 190). When you reach the town of Los Reyes, take Prolongación Benito Juárez Street to the area.

Although it's located in the State of Mexico, it's easy to visit from Iztapalapa. Admission is free most of the time.
