Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo House Studio Museum

Two houses, two artists, and a concrete bridge connecting their worlds

AREA

What Makes It Special?

It is one of the earliest examples of functionalist architecture in Latin America. Beyond its avant-garde design, this house served as the home and studio of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, and it still retains its creative and revolutionary atmosphere.

Did You Know…?

It was designed in 1931 by architect Juan O’Gorman. The two houses—a blue one for Frida and a white one for Diego—are connected by a bridge, symbolizing a relationship that is both close and independent.

Don’t Miss

Don't just look at the artworks: take in the design details, the natural light, the furniture, the garden with its sculptures, and the studio filled with Diego's personal belongings. Everything speaks of art and life.
