The castle served as the residence of Maximilian and Charlotte, the headquarters of the Military Academy, and the official residence of presidents. Today, in addition to its museum galleries, it still houses original furniture, stained-glass windows, carriages, and a European-style garden with spectacular views.

How to Get There

Chapultepec (Line 1, Pink) – 12-minute walk

Get ready for an uphill hike. Access is for pedestrians only, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. It’s best to avoid the hottest part of the day.
