This house-museum preserves the legacy of Benita Galeana, one of the most prominent figures in Mexico’s labor and feminist movements. Her life was dedicated to defending the rights of women, workers, and the elderly.

Did You Know…?

Benita Galeana was the first woman to serve on the Board of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and played an active role in drafting labor and social security laws. This space houses her personal belongings, photographs, books, and documents.

Don’t Miss

The house also serves as a cultural center and a space for reflection on social issues. Talks, book clubs, and community activities are frequently organized there.
