What Makes It Special?
This small on-site museum is part of the Tlatelolco archaeological complex, located exactly where the ancient Tecpan Palace once stood—the seat of government for the Tlatelolca Mexicas. It displays artifacts unearthed during excavations and provides historical context about the site.

Did You Know…?
The Tecpan of Tlatelolco was one of the few indigenous administrative buildings to partially survive the Conquest. The site still features original walls, fragments of stucco, and little-known Mexica sculptures.

Don’t Miss
Be sure to include this museum in your tour of the Plaza de las Tres Culturas. It’s right next to the Tlatelolca Main Temple and will help you understand the political significance of the area before the arrival of the Spanish.
