This imposing volcanic stone house was once the home of legendary director and actor Emilio “El Indio” Fernández, a key figure in the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. More than just a house, it is a fortress brimming with history, art, cinema, and stories, built in a unique style that blends rustic, colonial, and cinematic elements.

Did You Know…?

The house was designed by Indio Fernández himself, in collaboration with architect Manuel Parra. Movies were filmed there, celebrities have stayed there, and it still contains furniture, portraits, and personal belongings. It is even said to have a secret tunnel and to be the setting for legends about the film industry and the afterlife.
