Housed in the former Palacio del Apartado, this museum holds one of the country's most important collections of coins, banknotes, and medals. It is a little-known gem of great historical value.

Did You Know…?

The Mint operated in this building during the 19th century. Some of the currency that circulated during the War of Independence and the Reform era was minted here, and the building still houses some of the original machinery.

Admission is free, and there are often guided tours led by experts who explain everything from how coins were made to the secrets of counterfeiting. It’s perfect for an educational outing.
