This gallery is part of the cultural complex of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and features a collection of Mexican art that has been assembled through the Payment-in-Kind Program and the Artistic Heritage Collection.

Since 1957, artists such as Rufino Tamayo, Francisco Toledo, Leonora Carrington, and Vicente Rojo have donated works in lieu of tax payments, enriching one of the most diverse and substantial collections of contemporary Mexican art.
