Postal Palace Museum

Letters, stamps, and memories of a Mexico that communicated through ink and paper

AREA

What Makes It Special?

Located inside the magnificent Postal Palace, this museum traces the history of the postal service in Mexico through mailboxes, uniforms, old letters, postage stamps, and curious artifacts. It offers a nostalgic glimpse into a time when writing was an art form.

Did You Know…?

The Postal Palace was inaugurated in 1907 and is considered an architectural gem of the Porfiriato era. The museum occupies a section on the upper floor, where you can also see reproductions of historic postmarks and sorting tools from the last century.

Don’t Miss

Although the museum is small, the building itself is a must-see. Combine your visit with a tour of the entire Post Office Palace, and don't forget to look up: the ceilings are works of art.
