What Makes It Special?

It is one of the most photographed landmarks in the city thanks to its iconic silver structure. But its value goes far beyond that: it houses one of the most comprehensive and diverse art collections in Latin America.

Did You Know…?

The museum was founded by Carlos Slim in honor of his wife, Soumaya Domit. It houses more than 60,000 pieces ranging from New Spanish art to European painting, including works by Rodin, Dalí, Van Gogh, El Greco, Rivera, and Siqueiros.

Don’t Miss

Take the elevator and explore the museum from top to bottom. The Rodin Room is one of the largest outside of France, and the collection of coins, stained-glass windows, and furniture is perfect for those who appreciate the finer details.

How to Get There

Soumaya Museum – 4-minute walk

The easiest way to get there is by Ecobici or public transportation and then walking from Ejército Nacional. Getting there by car can be difficult due to traffic in the area.
