What Makes It Special?

This museum is located in the Palace of the Counts of San Mateo in Valparaíso, an 18th-century Baroque building restored by the Banorte Foundation. It houses one of the most comprehensive collections of Mexican art from the 17th to the 21st centuries.

Did You Know…?

The collection includes works by José María Velasco, Saturnino Herrán, Gerardo Murillo “Dr. Atl,” Diego Rivera, María Izquierdo, Remedios Varo, and contemporary artists. In addition, the museum incorporates interactive technology to create an immersive experience.

Don’t Miss

Don't forget to go up to the terrace: the view of the Historic District is spectacular. Admission is free, but we recommend booking online in advance to avoid lines.
